Finding the right company by searching for a name can be harder than you'd think. Many companies use several different names.
β How does it work?
Start by searching for the legal company name, i.e. the name registered with the Swedish Tax Agency. There are, however, exceptions to be aware of:
- Trade name β the name the company is known by but not officially registered under. For example, a hair salon might be registered under the owner's name but display a completely different name to the public.
- Franchises β separate companies operating under the same name. Many McDonald's restaurants, for example, are officially registered under a different name.
Search for the company on a map website like hitta.se, finn.no or maps.google.com to find the well-known name and, from there, the officially registered name.
Add a geographic location to the search for a better match, for example "Lime Gothenburg".
