GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulation, is a European law for the handling of personal data and increased privacy protection that came into force on May 25, 2018.
❔ How does it work?
GDPR leaves room for interpretation. For example, it states that companies must provide a reasonable level of privacy protection, but the law does not define exactly what falls within a reasonable framework.
Before you dive into the regulation, it's good to know these definitions:
- User – you, the person using Lime Go.
- Customer – a natural person whose data is available and processed in Lime Go.
- Reference – the field that links a person to another object, such as a history note, an activity, or a document.
- Processing of data – anything that involves the use of customer data, for example when you use the data to sell your product or service.
