An API key is a unique signature that lets Lime Go verify that a calling application has permission to access your data.
❔ How does it work?
You can have as many API keys as you want, create one per service, or use the same one for everything. There are two types of keys:
Personal keys
Linked to your personal Lime Go account and give access to everything in the Lime Go API, such as searching for a person, saving an email, or changing the status of a deal. Which actions you can perform is limited by your account permissions.
A personal key is just as important as your password – treat it accordingly.
Company keys
Used for actions that don't require personal authentication, such as reading the application feed or sending a signal to Lime Go. These keys expose limited data:
- Companies – company name, registration number, Dun & Bradstreet ID, tags, and custom field values. Addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers are not exposed.
- People – name, email addresses, tags, and custom field values. Phone numbers are not exposed.
